If your connection with God involves serving others, Sunday Worship Service volunteer opportunities are waiting for you. Each Sunday, our church needs Ushers, Lay Readers, Altar Flower donations, and Coffee Fellowship servers.

CHILDREN'S CLASS LEAD

It is an exciting time to be part of the Bay UMC Children's Program! You can help support us by becoming a Class Leader on Sunday mornings! Our new model gives you everything you need to walk in on Sunday morning to the classroom and be prepared for the time with the children. No preparation necessary, just 30 minutes of your time per week! Monthly time slots (four consecutive Sundays or more) are recommended and encouraged, but not necessary. Contact Lindsey Martin at education@bayumc.org with any questions.

APPALACHIA SERVICE PROJECT

ASP is a faith-filled, life-changing service experience for youth, college students and adults.

Each summer, Bay United Methodist Church sends new and experienced youth and adult volunteers to Central Appalachia for a week of building safer, warmer, and drier homes for those in need.

FILL THIS HOUSE

Fill This House is a nonprofit organization that supports young people transitioning out of the foster care system. Bay United Methodist Church collaborates with them to provide essential household items for these individuals. This partnership helps the young adults establish stable homes as they start their independent lives. For more information, visit Fill This House's website at www.fillthishouse.org.

KIDS' BOOK BANK

The mission of the Cleveland Kids’ Book Bank is to foster literacy and a love of reading by distributing free books to children through collaboration with community partners.

SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK

Second Harvest is the regional nonprofit committed to fighting hunger. Bay United Methodist Church works to support Second Harvest as they acquire, gather, and distribute nutritious food, Second Harvest helps feed tens of thousands of people throughout Crawford, Erie, Huron, and Lorain counties.

EGG MINISTRY

Regarded as an ideal source of protein, eggs offer an affordable way to deliver high-quality nutrition to those in need. Each month, a collection is held to purchase dozens of eggs, which are then distributed through a local food bank to support individuals and families in the Cleveland area.

KNICKERBOCKER

The Knickerbocker is an affordable adult living community. Recently renovated, the building was originally developed in 1974 by a consortium of four Bay Village churches, including Bay United Methodist, Bay Presbyterian, Bethesda on the Bay Lutheran, and St. Barnabas Episcopal.


Bay United Methodist Church supports the Knickerbocker by providing time and donations in various ways to support the residents' spiritual and recreational activities. Annually, members of our church volunteer to provide a Thanksgiving dinner for all Knickerbocker residents.
